Lincolnland Club and District Leaders,

'Twas the night before Christmas
And through the House of Exchange
Not a creature was stirring
Lincolnland relaxed for a change.

Our communities' stockings had been filled
With funds raised by our members
A year of "Unity for Service"
Which we all will remember.

When suddenly in Lincolnland
There arose such a banter
I knew that it must be
Our annual visit from Santa.

His eyes - how they twinkled
How bright the smile he was wearing
"He beamed, "It's great to be back
In this Lincolnland District so caring!"

"Your clubs have captured
The true spirit of giving," he explained
And Santa whistled and shouted
And called our Lincolnland Clubs by name.

"To Alton, Belleville, and Beardstown
To Bloomington, Galesburg, and Aledo
To Charleston, Paxton, and Rantoul
I bring thanks from myself and Toledo."

"Your commitment to Americanism shines
In all Lincolnland Clubs like Mattoon
Champaign, Urbana, and Aurora,
Shorewood, Gurnee Breakfast and Noon."

"To Counties Greater Kendall and West DuPage
To Quincy, Naperville, and Clubs of Excel
To Lockport, Plainfield, and Bolingbrook
Thanks for your great Community Service as well."

"To Waukegan, LMV, and North Chicago
To Areas of DeKalb-Sycamore and Round Lake
Your commitment to Programs for Youth
Serves our next generation for goodness' sake."

"To all Lincolnland Clubs like Grayslake,
Joliet, and the Cities Quad and Tri
Your dedication to the Prevention of Child Abuse
Brings tears of gratitude to my eyes."

"Your club members have volunteered all year
And tonight you can relax in leisure
Because through the great work of Exchange
You've made Santa's job much, much easier."

"For Exchange's Programs of Service
I just stopped by to say 'Thanks'
And now it's time for me to return
To my special gift-giving ranks."

And as Santa drove out of sight
I heard him joyfully exclaim,
"Merry Christmas, and thanks for all you do
In the Spirit and with the Power of Exchange!"
